Introduction
Hello,
I'm John Shaw, a seasoned trader with over 25 years of experience navigating the markets. My journey began at 16 when I opened a Sure-Trade account and started trading stocks between classes and bathroom breaks in high school. I founded the stock day trading extracurricular class in my junior year, further fueling my passion for the markets. After attending the University of Iowa, I launched my career as a full-time SOES day trader at Cleveland Trading in Fairfield, Iowa, trading up to 1 million shares daily.
As the industry evolved, I adapted, transitioning to commodities futures products exclusively in 2005. My commodity career began in Los Angeles as a trader at the Wedbush building from 2005 to 2008. After that, I opened and ran my own registered and licensed firm from 2008 to 2018. In 2018, I merged my business with Lakefront Futures, one of the largest independent commodity firms in Chicago, and opened the Sedona branch. I retired in 2022 and began trading for myself.
Today, my specialty lies in trading S&P 500 futures, Gold futures, and Crude Oil futures, with a laser focus on delivering consistent returns while managing risk. I have accumulated the skills and confidence needed to trade commission-free. If you don’t make money, I don’t make a dime.
